Den færøske sanger Sissal vandt årets Melodi Grand Prix med popbaskeren 'Hallucination'.

"'Hallucination' handler om at møde en person, hvor forbindelsen føles så rigtig, at det næsten virker uvirkeligt," fortæller Sissal, der selvom hun ikke kommer fra en musikalsk familie begyndte at synge, før hun kunne tale. Hun sang altid foran sin familie og optrådte for første gang på en offentlig scene som tiårig i en konkurrence svarende til MGP.

Som voksen har hun udgivet musik i eget navn, der blandt andet er blevet fremhævet af DR's eget talentprojekt KarriereKanonen.

"Jeg håber, at folk kan spejle sig i min musik og i mig som person. Jeg vil vise, at man kan være lækker og sund, selvom man ikke er tynd, og så opfordrer jeg alle til at stå ved sig selv og deres drømme," fortæller hun.

'Hallucination' er skrevet af sammen med Malthe Johansen, Chris Chordz, Lina Spangsberg, Marcus Winther-John og svenskerne Linnea Deb og Melanie-Wehbe.
